Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Phase 1: Download and Upgrade Firmware
Method 1: Via Wi-Fi

1. Install the app and follow the in-app instructions to connect Shockwafe Wireless to Wi-Fi.

 

 

2. Download firmware upgrade:

  • Set the soundbar to any input source except Bluetooth or AirPlay.

  • Power on all speaker components.

  • Press the ⚙ SETUP button repeatedly until “FW CHECK” appears on the display. Press ENTER. If an update is available, a prompt will be displayed:

  • Press ENTER to start the download. It will run in the background. Press POWER to check progress. Do not unplug the soundbar from power.

💡 You can continue using wired sources (e.g. TV apps or HDMI devices) during the download, but Bluetooth and AirPlay are unavailable.

⚠️ Ensure that the soundbar, subwoofers and surround speakers are all powered on and connected before starting a firmware upgrade.

Phase 1: Download and Upgrade Firmware (Method 2: Via USB)

Step 1. Preparing the USB Drive

  1. Prepare the USB drive

  2. Use a USB 2.0 / 3.0 drive from a reputable brand (32GB or smaller). Hard drives are not supported.

  3. Plug the USB drive into your PC / Mac. 

  4. Reformat the drive to FAT or FAT32. Other formats (e.g. exFAT or NTFS) are not supported. 

Recommended Drives: SanDisk 16GB Ultra | PNY Turbo 16GB/32GB

Phase 2: Reset your System

Factory reset after each firmware upgrade for optimal performance. 

⚠️ All custom presets, input names, and calibration values will be reset. Screenshot your settings in the app first.

  • Power on Shockwafe Wireless. 

  • Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds, or until "SYSTEM RESET" appears.

  • The system will reset to factory settings, “REBOOT”, then switch to “TV eARC / ARC” input source.

Frequently asked questions

Shockwafe Wireless could not detect my USB drive. What should I do?

  1. Ensure your USB 2.0/3.0 drive is 32GB or smaller, formatted to FAT32/FAT. Click here for formatting instructions.

  2. Insert the drive only after switching to USB mode. 

  3. Re-insert the USB drive if it is already connected.

The firmware upgrade failed. What should I do?

  • Do not remove the USB drive or power off any Shockwafe Wireless component during the upgrade.

  • Your USB drive may be incompatible. Use a high-quality USB 2.0/3.0 drive under 32GB, formatted to FAT/FAT32. If available, try a different USB drive. 

  • The firmware file may be incomplete. Re-download it and copy a fresh version to the USB drive.
